After being disbanded for some years, Sherburn White Rose was reformed in 1960 and have played in the West Yorkshire League for more than half a century.

The club benefited from a substantial grant from the football foundation in 2003 and used the funds to build a brand new club-house, encompassing a new bar, function room, kitchen and four modern changing rooms.

In 2006 Sherburn White Rose regained their status in the Premier Division of the West Yorkshire League (Level 11 of 21 in the National League Pyramid) under the management of Wayne Day and won the West Riding County F.A Challenge Cup for the first and only time in the club's current history. In 2007 the club fielded three separate senior teams for the first time with a third team entering the Selby Invitation League (Level 14 of 21 in the National League Pyramid)  and acting as a feeder team for the reserves.

Sherburn White Rose FC was one of the first clubs in Yorkshire to be recognised as an F.A Charter Standard Club and signed up for the F.A Respect campaign in 2008.

In 2009 the club successfully won both Barkston Ash District F.A senior competitions under current manager Nick Peacock - the first time both cups have been won by SWRFC in the same season and also won the West Yorkshire League Cup in the same year. The club is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in the coming 2010/2011 season - a feat made more memorable by the fact that in 2010 SWRFC made Barkston Ash District FA history by being the first ever team to retain both senior competitions in the same season, as well as the first ever Sherburn team to retain the West Yorkshire League Cup.

To date the club hosts a junior section that caters for players from U8s through to U18s, has three senior teams, a veterans team and is building for the future with girls and ladies sides, school and community links as well as disabled football links. Join us as a volunteer, coach or player and be a part of the community football club's ongoing development.
