West Yorkshire Premier League First Team 3 - 0 Ripon City
Sherburn White Rose returned to victory today after a poor month of defeats with a 3-0 win away at Ripon City. Goals from Adam Priestley (1) and Marc Bradley (2). Good performances were had by all of the 13 players present and the club would like to thank everyone for making themselves available during the Christmas week which we realise is a time for family, so everyone deserves credit for being available on the day.

West Yorkshire Alliance Division 1 Reserves 3 - 2 Kippax
Three goals in the second half gave Sherburn Reserves their third consecutive win after falling behind to a strengthened Kippax side. Bradley retained his place at left back, with Meaney, Tom Lancashire and Ben Webster also in the squad. Matthew Wilde also faced his old team whilst Tom Bishop stepped up from the Third team to play full back; Parnaby playing centre half.
Kippax took the lead twice against the run of play in the first half. A long ball over the top forced Kelsey to come off his line, as he challenged the Kippax striker, his block fell into the path of another forward who slotted the ball towards goal. Collins reached the effort, but his sliding block was blasted into the back of the net by another Kippax forward. The second goal followed five minutes later; a Kippax corner found an unmarked forward at the back post to give the visitors an undeserved lead.
Sherburn rallied in the second half however, Daniel Withington opening the scoring after Bishop's attacking run into the box. Jordan equalised a few minutes later with a tap in from Beaston's cross, before Withington scored the winner, chesting the ball down in the box and volleying into the corner with confidence.
Kelsey made a double-save in the final minutes but Sherburn were rarely threatened in the second forty-five. The reserves now move into fourth with everyone to play again.
