West Yorkshire Premier League                                                              Bardsey 0 - 0 First Team

In the local press Bardsey officials called their home fixture against Sherburn 'mouthwatering', yet a scratch first team missing five regulars withstood a physical battering from league hopefuls Bardsey and almost snatched three points when third team regular Anthony Priestley twice found himself in front of goal but missed the target. Sherburn defended for most of the game but worked exceptionally hard to keep Bardsey beneath them in the league table. Club manager Nick Peacock praised the performance and an excellent away point and is looking forward to the return fixture.

West Yorkshire Alliance Division 1                                                    Whitkirk Wanderers 3 - 0 Reserves

The reserves travelled to local rivals Whitkirk Wanderers on the back of three defeats and should have had the game wrapped up by half time. Lancashire and Potter both had chances to score but poor decision making in the final third kept Whitkirk in the game. The home side's keeper made three excellent saves before the break and continued his good form into the second half when Lancashire and Beaston both had chances to score. Sherburn continued to press for a winner, until a Whitkirk counter attack found an unmarked forward to head past Daubney in goal. The goal seemingly destroyed Sherburn's confidence who then conceded two more goals in five minutes. Hudson was given MOM at centre half, but John Potter was also praised for his performance before being substituted through injury.
